Last weekend, James and I went to Hunstville to see our good friend Nic get married. I think your wedding should reflect your personality, and I can certainly say that about his wedding. Nic is and engineer and his new wife has a math degree. Their cake was on a rotating stand. Here are a few pics.
I appreciate their creativity and their boldness to do what they wanted to do instead of having a traditional cake.

The dogs make new friends
Lily got introduced to my brother-in-law's cat, Shadow. She and Lily are both timid, so they were both scared.
Monday James dog-sat for our friends, Clint and Elizabeth. Their little dog, Autumn, is a Austrian terrier. She was a lot of fun - she loved to perch herself on top of the furniture.

His Solution Vs. Her Solution
See this post with a picture of James' solution to this light that poured in through this window at night. Practical and functional, but not aesthetically pleasing.
I've had this fixed since Halloween. I spent only $12 on the shade because I used fabric that I already had. I just had to buy some lining and the hardware. Much better than the garbage bag.
